A Supportive Conversation

I walked into a sweet colleague's office and sighed: “I don’t know.”

She looks up in sympathy. “I know,” she says supportively.

And then her social worker side kicks in, and she corrects herself: “I mean, I don’t know what you don’t know, but I know you don’t know.”
