My Duck
Last week, dear innocent readers, you read:
A Tale Told By An Idiot
In which the heroine of this blog came out of a meeting tooting her own horn about being given less work rather than more.
That was balderdash.
The clouds have opened up to crap on me. I am baptized by stress.
No, nothing has been officially handed to me. Well, other than what I assigned myself upon realizing the work would not get done otherwise.
Le sigh.
Enough of work rants. They're so ... 2004.

Oh. So, has anyone heard of "it's your pigeon" as -r2 suggests may exist???
I have a fucking flock of birds. I've run a-foul of the authorities. I feel hen-pecked.

Nay..on the pigeons bit..
I had a good laugh at the "clouds have opened up and crapped on me." and "foul" image to say the least.
Sorry to hear you are swamped. The good news is I have been cast as the vamp yet again...

Wait. Why does this not surprise me?? ;-p
Congratulations, tho :)
And I'm glad my stinky distress amuses you. It's 7:11 and I'm here. I anticipate writing you not too far in the future, at around the same time, but in the morning, and after an all-nighter.
Yes. My goose is cooked.

This is beginning to be another snoozer my dear...I mean how come you are not all over that Kyrgyz thing?
Anyway, I thought of you last night. We were at G-spell (Godspell or Sort de Dieu) rehearsal last night and the music director, who is a Canadian, gave an Canadian idiom..who knew they even had any?
Well, he mentioned that one of the people "looked bored out of your tree" as opposed to "bored out of your gourd" which of course makes a heck of lot more sense. When, will these silly Canadians ever learn that Americans are better.
But the truly funny part comes when another one of the cast members brought it up later and said, hey "I am bored as a tree." Ha! It was a Ruthism.
Fondling you in my thoughts,
I mean.. fondly you are in my thoughts,
WT

I like that - bored as a tree! I LOVE IT! :)
Why would anyone be bored out of a tree? I wouldn't give a tree away just to get rid of a boring person.
Bah!
